<![CDATA[Kirelesile Conference]]>The Kirelesile Conference will be held on the 10th of January in the city of Kirelesile, Istkalen, and is meant to organize a general financial and aid framework for members of the Union, as well as other European states, which occupy disadvantageous positions, whether geopolitical, merely political, or economic, and/or simply do not belong to, or are distanced from, the major power blocs of the modern Union.

The purpose of the framework is primarily to allow these states greater economic and financial independence from the central powers of this Union, sheltering them from their vagaries and demands and strengthening their position in the present political dynamic of the Union. Representatives of the states of the Union falling into the mentioned descriptions and categories are cordially invited to attend the Conference; they are asked to communicate to the Government of the Republic of Istkalen their intention to attend prior to the date of the conference (OOC: fill out the following form).

They had regrettably had to use a plane but still at least they used economy class so reduced their impact and offset the flight cost with carbon offsets. They hated wasting resources of the planet and polluting the planet.

They took the public transport on arrival to the venue again. They greeted Vistek Rikkalek and Milrakas Isztenn. Searlait said "Hello" in the local language and thanked them for the invitation. They had high hopes for the conference, they wanted to get Strathae more out into the world and increase oppurtunities for the Co-ops, Clan Co-ops and small businesses while talking about how to restrict big corporate businesses, they knew this would need international co-operation and this seemed an oppurtunity especially with allies like Istkalen or Czechslavia.

The conference room overlooked a window, facing onto the sprawling city, a testament to the modernity of Istkalen, a country that perhaps was not viewed as modern.

Everything had been prepared, even the artpiece that the delegation from North Diessen had requested be displayed. At the Kirelesile Airport, a motorcade had already been prepared for the arriving delegations, to whisk them quickly and safely to the hotel where they would speak and remain until - hopefully - the drafting of an agreement.

Present were the Head of State, Vistek Rikkalek, and the Minister of Commerce, Milrakas Isztenn. Rikkalek, as always, was tense; to mispeak was a danger. They could not kill him, he had realized, but they could dispose of him in other ways; he could not take a single wrong step lest he be thrown to the dogs. He would represent the nation, the people, as they did, he would defend their interest, he would retain the people's trust and thus keep himself from falling into the hands of those around him a little longer.

Isztenn was the model of the traditional Istkalener official, dignified, calm, stoic. Nervous as well, being young and relatively inexperienced, but he could not let this show. It was his responsibility, he felt, to restore the prestige of his country, to make it a model nation, to give it and the other nations of this world of sorts behind the rich, behind the powerful, hope and dignity. To prevent disaster from befalling it yet again, to govern the country, thus, well and in accordance with the measures of his ancestors. Fear lapped at the edge of his minds, but not fear of others - fear merely of failing, of being unable to restore the country which he, in part, had been entrusted with governing. Malice was absent.

The two waited at the front of the room for the arrival of the delegations, prepared to greet, but perhaps not entirely for what lay ahead.
